The Continental Five are explorer/expedition yachts, developed in a variety of exterior designs, both modern/futuristic looking and with more classic lines. The design can generally be said to have a distinctly masculine character. Sporting a round-bilge hull, Continental Five’s have mainly built in full displacement versions with a steel hull and aluminium superstructure, but are also available as full aluminium fast-displacement vessels.
These models are created to endure the toughest weather conditions, and are specifically designed with a significant fuel capacity, enabling them to make transatlantic passages. They feature a triple-deck configuration that offers serious interior and exterior space, and provides many different layout possibilities. The aft deck is dedicated to two large tender boats, the storage of water toys, a helicopter deck or a swimming pool.
Together with Guido de Groot, we’ve developed different design options for this explorer/expedition yacht, from classic/traditional to modern/futuristic. Whichever you chose you’re assured of a Continental Five with three decks, huge outside decks, lots of space for tenders and toys, and the option to carry a helicopter.
When we say expedition we mean it so the Continental Five has significant tank capacities for major passage making. Highly suited for incorporating electric/hybrid solutions should you wish, you can also opt for an aluminium fast displacement version.
