The Continental Three series has a highly distinctive look, combining an overall modern appearance with subtle classic touches. A raised pilothouse layout means that the wheelhouse position is elevated and the forward main deck area freed for other purposes – such as a main-deck master stateroom, separate dining area or crew quarters. Van der Valk cooperated with Guido de Groot Design on both the interior and exterior of this model.
The Continental Three is suitable for the Volvo Penta IPS system, a joystick-operated pod-type boat drive system with counter-rotating forward-facing propellers. The series is also perfectly suited to a conventional shaft driven propulsion system, however.
The Continental Three is mainly built in semi-displacement, full aluminium (hard chine, moderate V hull design) designs, but can also be built in full aluminium fast-displacement (round bilged), aluminium planing (hard-chine, moderate V hull design) or steel full displacement (hard-chine or round bilged) versions.
The Continental Three Special is designed with the joystick-operated Volvo Penta IPS system in mind. A conventional driven system is among the possibilities too and you can also opt to build an aluminium fast displacement version. Maximum comfort is assured.
